Prime Minister's Office Hosts the Launch of Wawasan Brunei 2035 Reading Books and Promotional Videos

The Prime Minister's Office hosted an event to launch Wawasan Brunei 2035 reading books and promotional videos. The event was held at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister's Office. The ceremony was attended by The Honourable Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and The Honourable Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy as Deputy Co-Chairs of Majlis Tertinggi Wawasan Brunei and in attendance were The Honourable Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Setia Uztaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; The Honourable Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport and The Honourable Dato Seri Setia Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education. Also in attendance were Honorable Legislative Council members, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and invited guests.
In his welcoming remark, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, the Honorable Dato highlighted Titah by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam which emphasized that the National Vision or Wawasan Brunei 2035 must be implemented with full commitment and intent. Spearheaded by His Royal Highness Prince Hj AI-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as the Chair to the Majlis Tertinggi Wawasan, the Majlis Tertinggi Wawasan Brunei 2035 has developed a communication program which aims at promoting awareness and support the efforts in realising Wawasan Brunei 2035. Several efforts have been carried out including developing promotional materials, organising public talks and engagement sessions, producing radio commercials and establishing the Wawasan Brunei 2035 website (www.wawasanbrunei.gov.bn). All of these efforts are aimed to ensure understanding and appreciation of the Wawasan Brunei 2035 and everyone can work together towards its achievement.
The event was followed by the launching and handover of the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Primary & Secondary reading books by The Honourable Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and The Honourable Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, to the Honorable Minister of Religious Affairs, Honorable Minister of Health as Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Honorable Minister of Education. The books will be distributed the to all primary and secondary schools (government and private schools) and libraries across the country. An e-book version will also be available at the Wawasan Brunei 2035 website. The books have been published in collaboration with the Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education and Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport,
The ceremony also witness the launch of four (4) Wawasan Brunei 2035 Promotional Videos by by The Honourable Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and The Honourable Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The promotional videos published by a local Media Company provide an overview and key messages regarding Brunei Vision 2035 especially on its three goals.The four promotional videos will be broadcasted through all government channels, as well as social media networks.
