EDUCATED, HIGHLY SKILLED AND ACCOMPLISHED PEOPLE

Goal 1 for Wawasan Brunei 2035 focuses on ensuring that the people of Brunei Darussalam are educated, highly skilled and accomplished. Fulfilling the nation's aspiration to be a developed country relies on its most valuable asset which is its people. The nation's workforce should be able to match the needs of the country whilst upholding the values of Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB). Towards achieving this, we aspire to have a first class education system that is holistic, with focus on ensuring students at all levels will be well-equipped with knowledge and 21st Century Skills. This includes primary, secondary, technical and vocational, as well as higher education.

High quality education and life-long learning can ensure all individuals are given the opportunity in developing their potential to be part of a workforce that is productive and fulfill the nation's manpower needs. Based on the Wawasan Brunei 2035 Framework, Goal 1 has three (3) National Outcomes, six (6) Key Areas and eight (8) National Key Performance Indicators.
