Wawasan Brunei 2035 Talk for Brunei Darussalam Library Association (BLA)
19 February 2024 - In conjunction with the 38th anniversary of the Brunei Darussalam Library Association (BLA), the Wawasan Brunei Office, Prime Minister's Office had the opportunity to deliver a talk on Wawasan Brunei 2035 during the seminar “Brunei Digital Libraries: Where are we now?" held at the Ruang Minda, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Library. The seminar was attended by 89 participants, including librarians from government departments, schools and higher education institutions. The event was organised by the BLA in collaboration with the UBD Library.
The talk, delivered by Yang Mulia Amalina Binti Haji Awang Tengah, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer, shared the latest initiatives and progress in the national development, including the implementation of digital libraries, which can contributr to the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
The one-day seminar concluded with resolutions on future steps, calling for standards and guidelines on infrastructure, workforce, technology and finance to support the development of digital literacy in the future.
